Welcome to 2021!
Let’s get the bad news of 2020 out of the way: Our retail showroom is closed again to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Our office is open and we’re able to carry out some design and planning work without customers needed to visit.
Good news: We’re still able to continue working in customers homes where it’s safe to do so. Safe means we can maintain social distancing and everyone involved (customers, Rooties, and other workers on site) are all symptom free and not isolating. Jobs may take a little longer to complete than normal as we limit the number of people who can work on site and we have had to delay the start of some jobs and reschedule them.
New Rooties
We’ve also two new colleagues.
Stacie joins us a bathroom designer, replacing Rachel who left to start her own nutrition business.
Charlie joins us in a new full time role helping Dave support our work in progress. That incudes deliveries and the ever important first day on site where we protect customers existing floors.
New Displays
Yesterday some new displays arrived. Firstly a new range of steel enamel splashbacks for kitchens made on the Isle of White by the same company that make the durable signs used on the London Underground. The first one unwrapped has the “Whitby” print pattern by MiniModerns of London and will co-ordinate perfectly with many other products.
The vibrant yellow island is also Steel Enamel and on castors. This unit has a stainless steel interior and is weatherproof so can be used outdoors. We think these will be great for summer when the kitchen island can be wheeled out to a patio for BBQs with friends once the pandemic is over.
There’s a wide range of colours and sizes available of both the island and the splashback.
